Many patients ask: what do you all bring with you to complete dental services? Portable/foldable dental chair, low dose x-ray machine, sterilized instruments, and a portable suction/drill unit. To utilize the portable equipment, an outlet is needed to provide power.

With mobile services, patients need to understand there is a mileage fee/home visit fee associated with mobile services rendered. There is a third-party security company that monitors the location of the company’s equipment and mobile services are provided at the company’s discretion.

The cost for dental services vary based on your insurance carrier and policy type. 

  • Uninsured patients pay higher rates for services based on the average income of the office location.
  • Patients with PPO policies pay higher monthly premiums and have limitations with their policies such as a fixed an annual max, as well as waiting periods and replacement clauses.
  • HMO policies do have their perks, such as $0 exam and x-rays, with lower monthly premiums, but you are limited to finding the provider that is best for you. Most HMO providers are corporate chains with rotating dental providers.

How do I become a new patient?

Before you can become a new patient, new patient paperwork must be completed and submitted. You can complete the new patient paperwork on the website, obtain the new patient paperwork by calling our office: (713) 636-9808 or by emailing info@whiteningmooresmiles.com.

Does the company have a van or do you set up inside?

We have portable equipment which is brought inside to the patient. This includes a portable dental exam chair, a digital x-ray system, and a portable operatory system.

Can you come to my house?

Yes, we can see patients in a home setting. Mileage fees depend on your location relative to the company’s brick and mortar location.

Do you take x-rays?

Yes, we have a low power digital x-ray system which allows for immediate viewing on a laptop. X-ray imaging is required to become a “patient-of-record”.

How far in advance do I need to fill out paperwork before I can be seen?

When the new patient paperwork is received, we can typically see you within a couple days depending on the current schedule of patients.

I just want a cleaning; do I have to get an exam?

The Texas State Dental Board of Dental Examiners mandates that all new patients to a dental practice have a comprehensive exam to diagnose the appropriate cleaning needed by the patient.

Do you accept dental insurance?

No, we assist patients with the forms needed for the patient to file a claim for reimbursement from the dental insurance company. Full payment is due at time of service from the patient. Please verify your insurance policy provides coverage for out-of-network providers. 

Can I arrange a payment plan?

Payment for the services provided are expected on the same day the services are rendered. 

Does the company help me get reimbursed by my insurance company?

Yes, the company will provide you an insurance claim upon request to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. The claim for will have all procedures and prices listed for your convenience. Simply fill out your policy number and cardholder information and submit to the claim to the address listed on your card.
